Twenty-five years after surviving The Rite of Wands, a ritual designed to awaken him as a warlock, Mierta remains haunted by its prophecy that he’s to save the land of Iverna from a devastating plague known as the Shreya. Or succumb to it.

Burdened by that knowledge, Mierta struggles to become the man the prophecy demands, questioning his strength, his purpose, and his worth. When a monstrous creature leaves scores gravely wounded, Mierta is summoned to Coinneach Castle to fight beside the very father who spent years pushing him aside. 

As old resentments resurface and self-doubt clouds every decision, Mierta begins to realise the greatest threat to the prophecy isn’t the beast stalking the countryside.
